Disciple Bible Study emphasizes disciplined reading & listening to Scripture that results in biblically nourished persons committed to lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. Learners must begin with Disciple 1, but continuing classes may be taken in any order.

Disciple 1 – Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is an overview Bible study from Creation of Genesis to the New Jerusalem of Revelations. Led by Reverend Fred Morgan; Location: W-3B

Disciple 2 Into the Word Into The World building on the biblical knowledge gained through the overview of Disciple 1. Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts are reading assignments with appropriate passages from other parts of the Bible. Led by Gabe Wiebenga—Location: FC-7

Disciple 3 - Remember Who You Are - The work YOU in the title is meant to be heard both in its singular form and in its plural form (the community). We are a community of memory. Participants will read the major and minor Old Testament prophets and will read the 13 Letters of the New Testament traditionally attributed to Paul. Class Facilitator: Andy McFarland. Location A&E 106

DISCIPLE 4: Under The Tree of Life - This is the fourth study in the DISCIPLE program, designed for persons who have completed Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study. The 32 week study concentrates on the Writings in the Old Testaments; the New Testament Scriptures include the Gospel of John, Letters of John, James; Jude; and Revelation of John. The image of the tree of life frames the biblical story: In Genesis, in the midst of the garden, but off limits. In Revelation, on either side of the river of the water of life, with fruit to eat and leaves for the healing of the nations. The word under in the title is meant to convey invitation, welcome, sheltering, security, rest -- home at last.
