Youth Sunday School

When and Where?

Middle School and High School are combined on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings:

Sunday morning, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. A&E Building, AE 202
Sunday evening, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A&E Building, Gym

We also have special programs and events throughout the year, including our confirmation class, Seekers.

What Will My Teen/Pre-Teen Learn?

On Sunday mornings and evenings for Fall 2017, our focus will be on 8 questions Middle School and High School students often wonder about, but don’t always feel comfortable asking in church:

  • What is the Bible, anyway?
  • Why does the Bible contradict itself?
  • Can I be a Christian and believe in evolution?
  • Does God discriminate against women?
  • Is Jesus really the only way to God?
  • What does the Bible say about being gay?
  • Does God endorse violence?
  • How can I follow a God who would let Christians do such bad things?

Seeking answers to these difficult questions can help us see that our faith isn’t frightened by tough questions, but strengthened. Sunday morning isn’t the time to leave doubts at the door and “just believe”; rather, we want our young people to feel safe bringing any questions or doubts with them. God is big enough to handle them!
