Stephen Ministry

Jesus says, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” — John 15:12

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system. More than 11,000 congregations, from more than 160 denominations, in all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces, and 24 other countries, have Stephen Ministry.

Who are Stephen Ministers?

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times.

Who needs a Stephen Minister?

Any adult who is struggling with grief, divorce, cancer, hospitalization, physical rehabilitation, long-term care, chronic illness, terminal illness, job loss, loss of a home, military deployment, the onset of a disability, loneliness, spiritual crisis, or other life struggles.
